Blackheads are seen very commonly and it is a form of mild acne. It is seen as projections on the skin. They are actually black in color because they do not contain the pigment melanin in the areas affected. Besides the conventional blackhead treatments like oral and topical applications and surgical practices, some other form of treatment can also be tried to cure the problem of blackheads.
The most commonly used treatments are metallic extractors that are used to plug the blackheads. These extractors are available in diverse patterns based on the rigorousness of blackheads. For instance, a lancet extractor is an instrument that contains two ends, one to make a hole and the other to remove the dirt. This type of an extractor is used often by the dermatologists. Other customized extractors are the double spoon extractor. In this type of extractor, one of its ends is shaped like a spoon, which is beneficial to plug out the large blackheads. It can be used safely by the beginners.
The most affected area with blackheads is the area around the nose. These blackheads are more painful as compared to the regular blackheads. Use of the blackhead removal strips is the most effective treatment for the removal of blackheads on the nose. In such nose strips, a specific kind of glue is used to shred the blackhead. You should clean your face gently and dry it thoroughly before using these blackhead removal strips. Then wet your face and apply the strip only for about ten minutes. Then pull the strip in just a single go with full force. After removing the blackheads, clean the face again using cold water. Over usage of these strips can lead of skin irritation.

Quite simply, i want to know true examples of blackhead products that you have used and have worked. No old wives tales, but stuff that you personally HAVE used, and which has cleared the blackheads completely.
What are some good blackhead treatments?
I dont want suggestions like get a facial or none of that. I want treatments that give results and that I can get like at Wal-Mart. Also, some good ones for oily skin.
this is what i do, and i get everything from walmart:
i use noxzema cirtis scrup, then the blackhead clenser, then the clean and clear warming daily pore scrub, and then use the oxy daily wash in maximum stregnth. and the the biore pore unclogging scrub. i do this every night in the shower. for the morning, i use one of the products, and alternate between them every day, usually the one i have more of. for a miosturiser, i use the clean and clear morning glow, at night and in the morning (but it hasa shimmer to it so it might not work for a guy to wear it in day, instead try the olay beauty fluid, the pink stuff). also, on occasion use the biore nose and forehead/chin strips, and the olay daily facials, as well as a clay mask, noxzema makes a good one, but i prefer to use vics vapor rub, smear it on the face, avoiding the eyes and mouth, and leave on for a while – it may sting or give this cool burning sensation, and cause the eyes to water, as well as clear the sinuses, but trust me, it clears the skin (once or twice a week). my brother uses the pads made by oxy that have alcohol on them, and they make a difference on him, but have no efect on me. what also helps is to use a clean towel every time you wash your face, so i reccomend using a fresh papertowel every time.
all this for me pretty much takes care of my oily skin, takes care of black heads, and realy minimizes break outs (less frequent and not as bad). also, more water, and healthy juices, and less to none sodas, and salty snacks, the really make a difference. be sure to wash your face at least twice a day, and it would be bset if you do after any activity, such as sports, that causes you to sweat that way you can get rid of the dirt and oil when the pores are open. by following this regime, you should be able to see a diffence by two weeks latest.

Does anyone know of any good blackhead treatments or medicine?
I have some blackheads on my chin and need to get rid of them. Any suggestions? Squeezing only leaves me with scars. help!
Use a good exfoliating scrub on your face.
(an excellent exfoliate is baking soda mixed with a little mild face wash) then steam your face with a very warm washcloth or over hot water using a towel for a tent.
This will open your pores up, then use biore’ blackhead strips.
After you have done that, splash your face with cold water and use an astringent like witch hazel to close your pores.

Blackhead remover from neutrogena. You just put on the pad and your black heads are gone. Or you can use the WAVE from neutrogena. But the blackhead remover is only for blackheads.
Blackhead treatments?
i have blackheads on my nose and they drive me crazy!
i have never tried any kind of store-bought treatments, but im thinking about getting the biore strips…
supposedly the ultra type works better, but they’re more expensive..
also, it seems like st. ives apricot scrub works well for acne, but i havent read any reviews for getting rid of the blackheads..
please suggest any other good cheap blackhead treatments!
I’ve been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it’s at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
